Even my tailor was impressed with the quality. The cut is very precise, with craftsman-like stitching and balanced proportions. The fabric is tightly woven, offering a handsome finish. The jacket fit my 40R frame perfectly, needing only sleeve length alterations. Because I am using the tails for ballroom dancing, my tailor increased the trouser rise about 3/4 inch for a little extra waist height. I attended a Viennese Ball recently, and the tails received admiring comments. There is an obvious difference in quality; Hickey Freeman tails stand out. The all-cotton pique shirt, and waistcoat were fine quality, too. I did replace the clip-on-tie with a self-tie, however. Is it worth the premium price? If you are wearing tails a couple times a year, you should give these tails serious consideration. P.S. There are dress traditions when wearing tails.
